Down Detector: Russian Internet users complain of Google troubles

MOSCOW, Apr 24 (PRIME) -- Russian Internet users have again complained about troubles in work of Google and its services, according to data seen by PRIME late on Monday on the Down Detector resource.

Most of the users had problems with website Google, or 63%, and some users said all Google service malfunctioned and the e-mail service was unavailable as well.

Google resources could have troubles because of a set of measures taken by the communications service to block popular messenger Telegram for its reluctance to hand over decoding keys to the Federal Security Service.

The watchdog started blocking the IP addresses of Google and Amazon, which were used by Telegram to skirt the closure. The authority says it checks reports on troubles in work of third-party resources.
